World Elderly Day Celebration at IVWS The spirit of love and gratitude filled Indus Valley World School as the Pre- Primary and Grade I students celebrated World Elderly Day with their grandparents. The week-long celebration was a heartfelt tribute to the beautiful bond that bridges generations — where little hands met wrinkled ones and stories turned into lasting memories.
Grandparents brought magic into classrooms through captivating storytelling sessions filled with imagination, humour and life lessons. The children, in turn, expressed their joy through creativity — decorating diyas with colourful bindis, stickers and flame cut outs, spreading light and happiness all around. The celebration continued with a delightful Non-Fire Cooking Activity, where grandparents and grandchildren prepared healthy dishes like sandwiches, fruit salad, and muri chaat, blending flavours of love and togetherness.
It was a week that celebrated affection, learning and legacy, reminding everyone that while grandparents are the roots, children are the blossoms of life’s beautiful tree.
