Vigilance is the price of safety’, as said by Barack Obama, is a true indication to the importance of being an alert and cautious citizen. Vigilance officers from the India Government Mint thus took this opportunity to spread the above message by highlighting the basic points to the student of Indus Valley World School on how to lead a safe and vigilant life.
The most discussed facets of vigilance were broadly classified and mentioned under preventive, punitive, surveillance and detection heads for better understanding. The presentation ended with a brief note on ‘Ethics and Values’ which governs the conduct of an individual or an organisation. The message that passed on was of developing positively disciplined personalities which in turn will aid the development of a vigilant society that would do everyone a good turn.
