On 9 August 2019, Times of India NIE in collaboration with Indian Oil Corporation Limited presented a painting competition in which all our students from Classes 4,5 and 6 participated.The competition based on the theme of ‘Oil Conservation,’was held in the classrooms for one hour. The young students unleashed their imagination and filled up their canvases. This was followed by the Felicitation Ceremony in the school auditorium. The programme began with the lighting of the lamp by the school leadership team along with the esteemed artist Ms. Eleena Banik, Mr.Ashok Harlalka and Mr. Indronil Paul, Deputy General Manager, The programme was steered by Ms. Priyadarshinee Guha, Dean-Arts and it began with an introduction to the Splash initiative after which the TOI team felicitated our school leadership. Then our Director spoke about the importance of Art in shaping the young minds and the very same thought was echoed by the judges.The programme ended with the announcement of the consolation prizes and winners for the competition each of whom received a trophy, certificate and gift.
