There is a lot around us to be thankful for what we receive through small acts of kindness. We savour the wonders of nature in little unspoken moments of delight extending our means of survival, every day, every hour, every minute and every second.

Service to mankind establishes its purpose of enabling the human race to surge ahead without any discrimination. The ones who define such generosity deserve continuous acknowledgement. They might not be at the top of a social infrastructure but their contributions are everlasting. With this noble intention, the Upper Infant children of Indus Valley World School celebrated Thanksgiving Day on the 22ndNovember 2018, dedicating their love and support for the support staffs at school like ‘ didis’ ( care givers ), nursing staff, security personnel’s, sweepers, electricians and other staff members who work tirelessly to ensure safety, comfort and convenience for all.

Special ‘’Thank You’’ badges were made by the children for them as a mark of recognition, which they wore with pride. Children sang a ‘’ Thank You ‘’ song for the support staff to show their love and appreciation. Refreshments were distributed with ‘’love’’ as the main ingredient.

This unique celebration instilled a sense of gratefulness in our children. It successfully evoked a feeling of inclusion – the children learnt that these people are one amongst us and they should be treated with love and respect.

A befitting tribute to the support staff at school, Thanksgiving day was a significant one. The consistent support from the School Management, the Principal, the Vice principal, children, teachers and support staff made it memorable.
