A three day trip from 9-11 January was organised by SHER through the Kids for Tigers programme and Sanctuary Nature Foundation for students and teachers of 8 city schools. Our Grade 7 student Shreyashi Daityari and faculty member Ms. Kohinoor Chatterjee were fortunate to be a part of this initiative.

The awareness programme for the conservation of tigers and nature helped students witness the life of the local people in the mangroves by watching the Bonbibi Pala and learning about tidal dynamics. Participants observed different animals in their natural habitat and were guided by forest officials to learn more about each animal or bird. They planted mangrove saplings in the presence of forest officials to generate awareness about conserving our ecosystem.
