Republic Day Celebration

26th January 2020

On 26 January 2020, the students and teachers of Indus Valley World School celebrated Republic Day. The parents of all the participants in the cultural programme were invited to join in the celebrations. After the unfurling of the National Tricolour and the salute by the scouts and guides in the school grounds, the programme commenced in the school auditorium. The programme began with an invocatory dance saluting the Motherland. This was followed by two songs, choral recitation and a scintillating yoga display all woven around the theme that we are One Nation and nothing can divide us. There was a fitting dance at the end that spoke about the duty of every citizen to the nation. There were two addresses by the Dean Arts and the Director of the school talking about the significance of Republic Day and the importance of the values and ideals enshrined in our Preamble, respectively. The programme ended with everyone present renewing their pledge to protect the nation against all divisive forces and the singing of the National Anthem.
