Indus Valley World School celebrated National Sports Day with great enthusiasm and energy on 29th August 2025, in honour of the legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand. The event began with the garlanding and lighting of the lamp in front of Major Dhyan Chand’s portrait by our Vice Principal and Administrator, marking the formal start of the celebration. This was followed by the FIT INDIA PLEDGE
and a brief speech highlighting the importance of sports in a child’s overall development.
A series of fun races and major games were organized for students from Pre-Primary to Grade II. Around 180 students actively participated in the events, displaying great excitement and team spirit. The joy and eagerness on the children’s faces were clearly visible.
The atmosphere was filled with cheers, laughter, and encouragement, as every child not only enjoyed their own events but also motivated their teammates with enthusiasm. It was heartwarming to witness such sportsmanship and unity among our young learners.
The celebration truly captured the spirit of National Sports Day, inspiring students to stay active, work as a team, and enjoy the joy of participating in sports.
