As a part of our ongoing collaboration with the Think Arts Festival, on 26 November 2019, the Class 9 students of Indus Valley World School got a rare opportunity to see a documentary theatre performance by Bangalore based artist Anuja Ghosalkar. Her solo play focused on the story of a female theatre artist who is haunted by the ghost of her great grandfather-a female impersonator in late 19th century Marathi theatre. It was the story of two actors separated by 100 years, one who plays a lady convincingly and the other, struggling to be a woman on stage. The performance was followed by a Q & A session with the students which threw up many interesting thoughts and ideas generated by the artist.
