IVWS Celebrates The 75th Anniversary Of The Quit India Movement

Indus Valley World School celebrated the 75th anniversary of the Quit India Movement in the Morning Assembly on 21st August 2017. The programme started with a melodious rendition of the thought provoking patriotic song ‘durgom giri kantar moru’. This was followed by an inspiring speech that shed light on the purpose of the momentous movement. The students highlighted the pledge that PM Modi took on the 75th anniversary of the Quit India Movement to free our country from the evils of communalism, casteism and corruption and create a ‘New India’ by 2020. The mission of ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ was delineated and the role of children, who are the future of the nation, was emphasised upon. The assembly came to a close with the song ‘The India Story’.
