INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PERSONS WITH DISABLITIES

02nd December 2022

On 2nd December, the eve of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the students of IVWS, were part of a life changing experience. The students and teachers of the Indian Institute of Cerebral Palsy visited the IVWS campus on the invitation of our Director Ms. Amita Prasad. They took the stage and their Band performed for our children. This was followed by an electrifying dance performance that had the packed auditorium, swaying with the students on wheelchairs. This was followed by presentations that helped to sensitise the IVWS students from Grades 7 and 8 about the challenges faced by persons with disabilities. IICP had three key members of their Adult Advocacy Group who spoke to all present about how no challenge is insurmountable. Our students participated in an interactive session where they got to ask questions to the IICP students. Our Interact club members assisted and attended to the IICP group all throughout their stay in the IVWS premises.
It was indeed a morning which the IVWS family will cherish forever.
