On 16 January 2020, a special event was organised by the BSS School to mark 70 years of their foundation. The programme was organised at the heritage monument “Prinsep Ghat” which was graced by the Governor of West Bengal Shri Jagdeep Dhanekar. A total of 10 schools from the city and beyond were invited to take part in the grand event. Our 12 students from Classes 8 & 9 put up a magnificent show on “Conserving the Heritage of Kolkata,” which highlighted the coming of Job Charnock down the river Hooghly and the sporadic growth of the city. This was fused with invoking the ‘Shakti’ that resides in each one of us, which will help us slay all the demons that want to break the spirit of unity and harmony that is Kolkata.
