On 6th November, eight students of Grade 6 had the wonderful opportunity to visit the Goethe-Institut (Max Mueller Bhavan), Kolkata, to participate in the Minimax – The Kids & Youth German Film Festival. The event aimed to engage students from various schools across the city through German film screenings and interactive activities, encouraging cultural exchange and creative thinking.

The students watched the inspiring German movie “Lessons of a Dream”, based on the true story of teacher and football pioneer Konrad Koch. The film beautifully depicted how football was introduced in Germany and how a group of students, under the guidance of their passionate teacher, learned teamwork, determination, and the spirit of sportsmanship.

Between screenings, several fun activities were organized, and winners received exciting goodie bags. Students were also served snacks to enjoy during the movie.

The visit was both entertaining and educational. The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience, learned about German culture and history, and appreciated the values of teamwork and perseverance shown in the film.
