We’re thrilled to share that our talented MUN & Debate Club members recently participated in the prestigious CDC Debating Excellence 2025 workshop and exhibition debate on 3oth June. It was a comprehensive program designed to cultivate and refine the debating skills of young minds. This exclusive initiative provided an unparalleled learning experience through intensive workshops led by renowned debating experts from Harvard, Cambridge, Oxford, and Yale, alongside senior mentors Heather Robinson and Jordan Anderson from the London Debating Society who conducted interactive sessions and simulated debates. Our students gained invaluable insights into various debating formats, argumentation strategies, research methodologies, and persuasive communication techniques, fostering critical thinking and a deeper understanding of global issues. The program culminated in an exciting exhibition debate where 8 of our outstanding students were selected to showcase their newly honed skills and articulate expression. We’re especially proud to announce that Akshat R Chowdhury of Grade 11 was selected to represent Indus Valley World School at the upcoming inter-school debate finals (scheduled on 8 th July), a testament to his exceptional performance and dedication. This transformative experience has truly elevated our students’ debating prowess and equipped them with critical thinking skills that will serve them throughout their academic and professional journeys.
