INVESTITURE CEREMONY – 12TH JUNE 2025
The Investiture Ceremony for the session 2025-26 was conducted with great ardour in the IVWS auditorium on June 12 2025. IVWS has always been a staunch believer in the holistic development of its students and the Investiture Ceremony is one such occasion that provides the students with the opportunity to step into leadership roles, thereby helping them develop essential skills like communication, problem solving and teamwork. It not only reinforces the value of dedication and perseverance but also instils a sense of responsibility and accountability, thus preparing them for the future. The program began with a soulful prayer song and an inaugural dance following which the Captains and the Vice Captains paraded into the auditorium in perfect synchronization making it a spectacle to behold. The School Captain Kanishk Hela, the School Vice-Captain Tanirika Guha Roy and the House Captains and Vice captains received their badges, sashes and the flags from the revered Guest of Honour Mr Raju Raman, the Principal, Madam R. Bhattacharya and the Vice Principal and Administrator, Madam M. Seal. The school prefects selected from Grade X, XI, VIII and V also displayed discipline and integrity while receiving their badges from the Headmistress, Madam D. Roy and the School Coordinators. The auditorium resonated with the spirit of determination and enthusiasm as Principal Madam administered the Oath to all the newly inducted members of the School Council and reminded them to embrace their new roles with perseverance, loyalty and humility. Mr Raman spoke about the importance of inclusivity in schools, the spirit of service before self and how leaders become great by empowering others. The program ended on a note of hope that these young leaders will continue to rise and shine and make a difference, not only in the school but the world beyond.
