Times Internet Limited, a division of Times of India, organized the Calcutta Times Inter School Quiz Contest at the Hyatt Regency, Kolkata. 30 eminent schools of Kolkata participated in this star studded event. The event was supported by Indus Valley World School. Our Chairman, Mr Sailesh Khaitan and our Principal, Ms Anita George were felicitated by celebrated tollywood actor, Abir Chatterjee. Mir being the quiz master, the entire event was interspersed with witty and humorous punches. Team Saumyajeet Das, Rounak Haolader and Mehul Chaurasia beat four teams to qualify for the finals. The team kept lead through the five rounds. In the last buzzer round, DPS Newtown played exceptionally well securing the first position while we finished third. Cash prizes worth Rs. 10, 000 and Rs. 3,000 were won from TOI and Pace Medical and Engineering Institute respectively along with a trophy for the school and individual medals and certificates.
